KAU
Leadership Beyond Boundaries (LBB) are exploring the potential for collaboration with King Abdulaziz University (KAU) on building a world-class leadership program at KAU’s Center for Preparing Future Leaders. A half-day leadership development workshop was developed to showcase the Center for Creative Leadership’s (CCL) world-class research on leadership and LBB’s experiential learning approach to leadership development with university undergraduate and graduate students.

Dr. Omer Badawood, Dr. Hashem Balkhair, Dr. Ahmed Alfaydi, and Dr. Sheikhah Basamah, visiting faculty and administrators from KAU, coordinated the visit of approximately 35 Saudi students currently visiting the US through the Saudi Arabian Embassy’s Cultural Mission program. The Saudi students actively engaged with LBB faculty in initiatives to foster perspective on leadership over the course of the 3-hour workshop. The students shared thoughts about the current perspectives about leadership in the context of their culture, how they impact the present state of their society, and what leadership qualities will be essential for the realization of Saudi Arabia’s collective vision and aspired future.

Logo smallCCL’s Leadership Beyond Boundaries team stands ready to partner with KAU on this bold and groundbreaking effort. Additionally, it was proposed that CCL seek partnership with the Saudi Embassy directly to explore the opportunity to reach out to over 120,000 Saudi students who visit the US each year.
